PokerKing will host the now traditional series of poker tournaments, consisting of 100 events, with a total guarantee of $ 5 million. The series is scheduled for the period from March 31 to April 20. You will learn the schedule, structure and features of tournaments in this article.

The schedule

The events that have been scheduled by the WPN in 2020 are slowly happening. So, the OSS Cub3d XI series with a $ 13 million guarantee has already ended, and now poker fans are waiting for another high-profile event – The High Five with a $ 5 million prize.

Last year’s similar streak raised a much larger prize pool due to the coronavirus lockdown. In 2021, restrictive measures are not so tough, which is why the excitement for poker events has decreased. However, the streak has the potential to generate increased interest among poker enthusiasts for several reasons:

1. Every day, 5 tournaments are planned, among which at least one will be in the RKO format. Buy-ins range from $ 0.25 to $ 2.650, and average ticket prices for tournaments are $ 11-55. 
2. There will be two major Main Events. One of them will cost the participants $ 450, and it will play out $ 1 million. The tournament will be held on April 11-12. Another $ 450 guaranteed event is scheduled for April 11-19, and tickets will cost $ 55. 
3. Most of the events will be held with deep stacks, with a small portion of the tournaments in turbo format. Most events are scheduled in 8-max format. The end time for late registration in almost all tournaments is 2-5 hours. 
4. Most of the events will be held in traditional disciplines – No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha. However, the series will also feature less common types of poker, such as Stud and Omaha Hi-Lo. There are 7 events planned for each discipline. 
5. All tournaments start either in the evening or at night European time. 

Software update

The software for the poker rooms, which are part of the WPN, was updated on March 17. Nothing has changed significantly, there have been minor improvements. Traditionally, developers have been fighting bots and poker trackers. However, no concrete steps were announced to improve the situation in this direction.

The application has become more convenient and functional thanks to the following features:

1. 6 new types of card decks have appeared, and their total number has increased to 15. Among others, there are full-color decks. 
2. Hotkey settings have become more flexible, which improves controllability and navigation. Now the user will be able to set specific actions for about 20 buttons. 
3. After the end of the Spins game, the last active limit is saved. Therefore, the next time, when entering this format, the player immediately goes to his limit.
